Thanks Tom for trying to get our math contingent talking to each other. Your information about sites has been wonderful and the sites are good resources.
Gene Kaufmann, in our math department, is developing a course that links mathematics and art and the George W. Hart site might prove beneficial to him too.

One issue I would like to raise is about NonEuclidean Geometry in the high school curriculum. Jeff and I have found that student explorations in the NonEuclidean worlds helped students gain a deeper understanding of Euclidean geometry. HOWEVER, the OHIO competencies for the high school graduation qualifying examination address length, perimeter, area, surface area, volume -- basic ideas. Is there a place for the concepts of our summer course in the general curriculum or are we really addressing the college bound curriculum?

So math folks -- let's hear from you!
