Thanks Tom for trying to get our math contingent talking to each other. Your information about sites has been wonderful and the sites are good resources. One issue I would like to raise is about NonEuclidean Geometry in the high school curriculum. Jeff and I have found that student explorations in the NonEuclidean worlds helped students gain a deeper understanding of Euclidean geometry. HOWEVER, the OHIO competencies for the high school graduation qualifying examination address length, perimeter, area, surface area, volume -- basic ideas. Is there a place for the concepts of our summer course in the general curriculum or are we really addressing the college bound curriculum? So math folks -- let's hear from you!
