I've created a web page of resources for teachers that includes links to departments of education, lesson planning materials, search engines, professional organizations, text book publishers, etc. Its URL is

http://www.seorf.ohiou.edu/~tstork/Ed.resources.html

Note that this URL is not clickable. I'll use it as an example to illustrate how to make such a link "hot" within one of these messages.

Step 1.
Find and carefully copy the URL of a site you want to reference such as the one above. One good way to get an accurate copy is to highlight the site's URL as it appears in your browser's location window, and then copy it to the clipboard using the Edit Copy menu choice.
Step 2.
Go to the Post a Message window in the Sustain Discussion Forum, and type in any descriptive text you want to use to tell others about the site you've found.
Step 3.
Insert the URL in an "anchor tag" that looks like this for our example:
< a href="http://www.seorf.ohiou.edu/~tstork/Ed.resources.html"> Educational Resources </a>
Note that the first part of the anchor begins with a less than sign and includes an "a" and an "href=" followed by your URL enclosed in quotation marks and ended with a greater than sign.
The second part of the anchor is the title of the link that you want displayed as "hot" (Educational Resources in this case) followed by a "/a" enclosed in less than and greater than signs.

Step 4.
That's all there is to it. Just be certain that your link looks like the one above and it will appear in this way when displayed in the discussion forum:

Educational Resources

Hope this helps,
Tom
