Instructions for the Notebook

1.    Go through all sections that we cover and make a list of all definitions given.  Memorize those definitions. After you write down each definition, give one example where the definition is satisfied and another one where the definition is not satisfied.
2.    Go through all sections that we cover and make a list of all results (Lemmas, Theorems and Corollaries) given.  Write down also the proofs.  Make sure you understand them and memorize the results and proofs.
3.    Make a list of all “strategies” suggested by the book.  Memorize those strategies. Compare the strategies listed with those used in the proofs of results in the book.

Your notebook will be inspected on exam days (partials and final).  Producing the updated notebook as requested will give you 5 points toward your final grade.
