Title:  Decompositions of Modules whose Direct Sums are CS

Abstract: It is known that if a module M is $\Sigma$-CS then it is a direct
sum of indecomposable submodules. In this talk we show that it is enough to
assume that $M^{\aleph_1}$ is CS. In the way to prove this result, we give a
new proof of the fact that every $\Sigma$-CS is a direct sum of
indecomposables that does not require cardinality arguments.
